FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENT

Functional fitness is a way to help perform daily tasks with ease. The class includes exercises that mimic the movements of daily activities. Sit to stand, marching, squatting, bending, pushing, and pulling, reaching are examples. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises also emphasize core stability.  Three key elements of functional fitness for Parkinsons are balance, mobility, and strength.
