Join us for an interactive virtual program on Tuesday, July 20th from 12:15 – 1:15pm. You will learn all about a unique music therapy program that incorporates movement and is designed for those with PD!
When we hear music of all sorts, it naturally makes us want to move. Music is motivating and engaging. This music therapy program offers physical therapy based exercises that are specifically tailored for individuals with neurologic challenges, like Parkinson’s Disease. Music helps us to not only move more but move efficiently, all within an enjoyable experience.
The presenter will be Brittany Barko Krugger, M.M., MT-BC, NMT. Brittany is a neurologic music therapist native to Erie, who specializes in populations with developmental and neurological needs. She is a contract therapist with Lake Erie Music Therapy, LLC, and provides music therapy services in rehab hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, in office, and in-home visits for adults and children. Brittany teaches voice, piano, and guitar classes at Mercyhurst University to music therapy students, where she was the first graduate of the program in 2013.
