We will have two experts in the field presenting on two important topics during the later stages of Parkinson’s: Palliative Care AND Purpose and Spirituality.

  •    TopicPalliative Care in Parkinson’s Disease: Focus on the Cheese
  •    Presented by: Dr. Aaron Lasker
  •    Topics discussed: What is palliative care? Learn about the differences between palliative care and hospice care, the variations in palliative care (neuro vs more traditional). Gain invaluable information about the importance of completing essential paperwork, such as advanced care planning/health care directives. Learn about wellness in Parkinson’s disease both for people with PD and their care partners and feel more confident about ways to develop your own wellness plan.

  •     TopicPurpose and Spirituality in Parkinson’s
  •     Presented by: Dr. Allan Cole
  •    Topics discussed: Finding purpose and spirituality in Parkinson’s: Hear from an expert, who also has PD, on ways to develop and/or enhance your purpose, learn about the diversity of spirituality, delve into your unique journey, and learn how and why purpose and spirituality can lead to improved coping skills and increased hope.
  •   Questions: There will be time to ask questions at the end.
