SIGN UP BELOW

Wednesdays 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

Instructor: Josefa Domingos – Zumba® Gold Licensed Instructor since 2014 & Parkinson’s specialist since 2004

Purpose: To promote physical, emotional & cognitive well-being for people with Parkinson’s and their families and friends. Prior dance experience is not required.

Target Audience: People with PD, care partners, family, and friends of people living with Parkinson’s.

Description: If you love to move and groove, then join us for a fun-filled Zumba Gold dance class for Parkinson’s! Dance has clinically meaningful benefits for Parkinson’s compared to no intervention or other exercise-based interventions. This class will explore a variety of PD-specific amplitude and speed movements with different rhythms, from salsa to country, tango, cumbia, mambo, flamenco, and more. We promise you’ll have a blast as you learn new moves, forget your Parkinson’s, and get a great workout in the process.

The class is designed for all skill levels, so whether you’re a movement pro or just looking to try something new, this class is the perfect opportunity to let loose and have a great time.
