ABOUT THE WEBINAR:
General info about the webinar: Occupational therapy student, Abby Miller, will discuss various topics, including tips and tricks to overcome common environmental barriers, a discussion on the importance of meaningful occupations/relationships and mental health, and health and well-being promotion strategies. We will look at energy conservation techniques by identifying healthy habits and routines to manage fatigue in daily activities. The conversation on these topics looks to share the benefit of OT in your individual experience with PD and assisting people in maintaining their independence.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Abby Miller is a graduate student at Carlow University completing her doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OT). She is currently finishing herlast clinical rotation with the Parkinson Foundation of Western Pennsylvania (PFWPA). Her capstone project is focused on the value of OT with individuals living with PD. She has a special interest in aging in place and helping people increase occupational engagement and independence in their lives.
