PD Parlor Webinar

Join us virtually every third Thursday of the month from 1-2pm via Zoom.

PD Parlor or Parkinson’s Parlor is a new webinar led by Priya Cardone, DO, one of UPMC Department of Neurology’s experienced movement disorders specialists. This FREE virtual event series, intended for patients and caregivers, spotlights a different topic in Parkinson’s Disease (PD) care and treatment each month, with the opportunity to ask your questions about PD.

Every webinar will cover a different topic. Examples of topics include:

• What To Expect: Your 1st Visit with a Movement Disorders Specialist

• Comprehensive Treatment Approach to Parkinson’s Disease

• Non-Motor Symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease

About Dr. Cardone:

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, I pursued my undergraduate education at the University of Pittsburgh, followed by medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After completing my neurology residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, I specialized in Movement Disorders, particularly Parkinson’s Disease (PD), during a fellowship at the same university.

In my patient care approach, I adopt a holistic strategy for PD management. This includes medication administration, along with providing supportive services such as physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech-language pathology (SLP), cognitive rehabilitation, cognitive evaluations, and interventions to enhance sleep quality and nutrition. Furthermore, I employ diverse treatment methods, including botulinum toxin injections, deep brain stimulation (DBS), and Duopa therapy, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing PD symptoms.
