Community Awareness and Health Care Provider In-Services

The Foundation is active in raising awareness and understanding of not only the disease, but more importantly, the special needs of those intimate with PD. We are available to speak to home care providers, allied health professionals, assisted and skilled living administrators and staff and also community and service organizations about any aspect of living with Parkinson’s disease or caring for those with Parkinson’s disease.

Organizations that have participated in trainings and workshops will be listed on our website information and referral page as having participated in the program and designated as “Parkinson Proficient.” The workshops and trainings are provided at no charge.

For additional information or to schedule a time, please contact Casey Peluso at 412.837.2542 or [email protected].

Parkinson Support Group Programs

We are available to speak to the regional support groups on a variety of topics. We also have a number of videos and recorded webcasts that address the many aspects of managing Parkinson’s disease and caregiving for support group viewing. Additionally we are often able to provide the names and contact information of additional speakers who are able to address specific topics and concerns beyond healthcare (i.e. financial and legal concerns).
