More to Parkinson’s® is a disease awareness campaign that aims to break the stigma surrounding PD-related hallucinations and delusions and foster open dialogue among people living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones before symptoms start or at the first sign so they may speak up to their doctor.

As part of this campaign, Acadia is partnering with world-renowned actor, entrepreneur and PD advocate Ryan Reynolds and his mother Tammy Reynolds, to raise awareness about hallucinations and delusions related to PD and drive conversation about these challenging symptoms. Navigating the challenges of Parkinson’s disease (PD)-related hallucinations and delusions as a care partner can be overwhelming. The free guide below offers insights and practical advice tailored specifically for care partners and other members of the family.

“When my dad developed Parkinson’s-related hallucinations and delusions, and he began seeing things that weren’t there and believing things that weren’t true, it was incredibly hard on him and our family. At the time, we didn’t really know how to help him. Hallucinations and delusions are part of the untold story of Parkinson’s, even though about half the people who develop the disease may experience them at some point over the course of their disease. And that’s why I tell people if my family’s experience sounds familiar, then don’t wait, just talk to your doctor about it.”
