Join us to learn how to manage fall risk and improve balance with Parkinson’s disease on Tuesday, August 20th at Noon via Zoom.

ABOUT THE WEBINAR:

Up to 60% of individuals diagnosed with Parkinson Disease will incur a fall each year, with many of these falls resulting in serious physical injury or decline in confidence with mobility. Individuals with PD can present with unique symptoms that increase fall risk such as instability in standing, freezing of gait, and orthostatic hypotension; and identifying such symptoms is the first step towards decreasing fall risk. The good news is, is that individuals with PD can improve their balance and decrease their fall risk through neuro-recovery and compensatory strategies. Please join us, as Eric Horton, Physical Therapist, discusses fall risk factors and interventions to help prevent falls for individuals with PD.  There will be time to ask questions!
